Man shot to death in Desert Hot Springs apartment
Police have confirmed that the man found dead in a Desert Hot Springs apartment on Wednesday, December 17 was the victim of a shooting.
The apartment is located in the 66000 block of Acoma Avenue, near Cactus Drive. Officers were called to the scene just before 4 p.m. When they arrived they found a deceased black man in his 30’s.
The victim’s identity hasn’t been released yet and the homicide investigation is ongoing, according to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department. There are no suspect descriptions at this time.

Police Chief Charles Maynard said this was the sixth homicide in Desert Hot Springs this year.
