Shots fired on Los Angeles police car; no one injured
Los Angeles police say a man fired a rifle at two officers in a patrol car, but no one was injured in the attack.
LAPD spokeswoman Officer Nuria Venegas said Monday morning that the man has been arrested and police are seeking a second suspect.
She says two officers were responding to a radio call in South Los Angeles around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night when they saw the muzzle flash of a rifle pointed in their direction. The officers returned fire, but no one was hit.
The officers arrested one suspect and recovered a rifle.
Police searched the neighborhood throughout the night for the second suspect, warning nearby residents to stay in their homes. The search of the immediate area was called off early Monday morning.
