PSPD announces airport road closures for presidential visit

The Palm Springs Police Department has announced road closures that will be in place around the airport while President Obama visits the Coachella Valley throughout the weekend.

The following roads will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from Friday through Monday at various times:

Kirk Douglas Way between Ramon Road and El Cielo Road beginning at 1PM Friday through 4PM Monday
Airport Center Drive between Avenue Evelita and El Placer Road beginning at 5AM Friday through 3PM Monday

You can still enter the airport via El Cielo Road to Tahquitz Canyon Way.

No additional road closures have been announced at this time. Police advise residents to use Nixle to receive up-to-date information about road closures around Palm Springs.
