Prices going up faster in California

Gas prices are going up in the Coachella Valley.

Experts say the spike is being caused by stabilizing crude oil prices and refiners switching over to a different blend of gasoline for the spring and summer.

Nationwide, AAA shows prices jumping $.07 in one week to $2.24 a gallon.

In California, prices are rising even faster, $.18 in one week to $2.74 a gallon.

While prices are going up, they still have a long way to go to reach where they were in 2013, $3.89 a gallon in the Golden State.
