Gunman sought in Cathedral City shooting

Police are investigating a shooting in Cathedral City.

Officers responded to a shots fired call shortly after 11 P.M. Monday night.

Upon arrival, they located a juvenile who had been struck by gunfire. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say 29 rounds were fired by a rifle into a home on the 31000 block of San Ardo Avenue.

Two homes were hit by gunfire. Police have no suspect description at this time. We’re told the suspect got away on foot, traveling east on McCallum Way.
