One person critically injured in Cathedral City crash
Emergency crews shut down Vista Chino at the Whitewater Wash for about an hour, after a van and a tour bus collided Thursday night.
We’re told the tour bus was attempting to make a U-turn on westbound Vista Chino. The driver of the van allegedly swerved around cars that were stopped, and ran into the rear tires of the tour bus.
The person driving the van, a Hispanic man in his 40’s, was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with critical, but non-life threatening injuries, according to emergency crews on scene.
Two juveniles on the bus were treated for minor injuries on scene.
An investigation is underway. There’s no word if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
