Man stabbed in back at Palm Springs park

The Palm Springs Police Department is investigating after a 31-year-old man was stabbed with a sharp object at Sunrise Park Sunday evening.

The victim told officers he was at Sunrise Park, located at 400 South Sunrise Way, around 4 p.m. when he became involved in an argument with several people. A fight took place and the man was stabbed with a sharp object.

Officers said the victim drove himself to the hospital. He was treated for a non life-threatening cut to his back and was released.

Detectives are investigating the stabbing and are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Palm Springs Police Department at 760-323-8142 or Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.
