$300K worth of meth seized in Coachella
Two men were arrested and 17.5 pounds of methamphetamine recovered when deputies raided a Coachella home overnight, sheriff’s officials said Friday.
Officers from the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, at a home in the 85-500 block of Avenida Crystal, sheriff’s Sgt. Frank Schiavone said.
Officers allegedly found the drugs, with a street value estimated at about $300,000, and more than $1,000 in cash, sheriff’s officials said.
Arrested at the scene were Oscar Ramirez, 29, of Coachella, and Eduardo Maciel, 19, of Imperial.
Both were booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio for possession of methamphetamine for sale and child endangerment, Schiavone said.
