Congressman Ruiz & wife welcome twin girls into family

Congressman Raul Ruiz and his wife Monica have announced that they’re now the proud parents of twin daughters. The girls were delivered early Monday morning.

Dr. Ruiz released the following statement on the birth of his daughters, Sky and Sage:

“Monica and I welcomed two healthy and happy daughters into our family. Words can’t express the overwhelming joy we feel. We are both grateful to God for this blessing, and their safe delivery. Thank you to our family, friends, and our desert community for your love, prayers, and well wishes for our new family throughout this exciting time of our lives.”

The first time parents are welcoming the community to be a part of this special time by allowing people to share words of wisdom as they venture into their parenting journey.

Dr. Ruiz proposed to his longtime girlfriend Monica in December of 2013 at Joshua Tree National Park. They got married in March of 2014 at a small, private and intimate ceremony in the Coachella Valley.

The congressman’s office released the photo of the happy new family on Monday afternoon.
