Phoenix man arrested for driving stolen car to Palm Springs

A Phoenix man was arrested by Palm Springs Police on Monday for allegedly driving a stolen car from Phoenix to Palm Springs.

Palm Springs Police say, at approximately 2:20 p.m. officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in the 400 block of East Tahquitz Canyon Way.

Police say 38-year old Jason Yokom was the driver and lone occupant and was arrested at the location for possession of a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle, a red 2007 Cadillac CTS, was reported stolen to the Phoenix Police Department earlier in the day.

Police say Yokum was also suspected to be in possession of fraudulent checks. He was transported to the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning awaiting arraignment.
