‘3rd Corner’ set to close in Palm Desert

The 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro in Palm Desert is closing its doors on Sunday, April 19th. The bistro is located at 73101 on Highway 111.

According to a release, the seasonal local market, combined with the restaurant’s lease term ending, contributed to owner Ed Moore’s decision to focus on his two longtime 3rd Corner locations in San Diego.

“Unlike our other two very successful restaurants in Ocean Beach and Encinitas, our Palm Desert location is a highly seasonal location which does very well in the winter and early spring, but struggles, like many restaurants in the Coachella Valley, during the summer and fall,” said Moore. “The seasonality of the market coupled with the fact that our restaurant lease is expiring has prompted us to close down our Palm Desert location after Saturday, April 18. We apologize to our very loyal desert customers and hope that they will come see us at our other two locations in the San Diego area,” he added.

3rd Corner’s Palm Desert location opened in June of 2010.
