157 arrests made at 2015 Stagecoach Country Music Festival

The Indio Police Department has released the arrest statistics from 2015’s Stagecoach Country Music Festival, which took place April 24-26 at the Empire Polo Grounds.

A total of 157 people were arrested during the weekend.

13 arrests were made for drunk in public
141 arrests were made for alcohol violations
1 simply battery arrest was made (Use of force against another)
1 arrest for felony vandalism was made
1 sexual battery arrest was made

There was a total of 226 arrests made during the two weekends of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which takes place just before Stagecoach; 93 were arrested the first weekend and 133 people were arrested during the second weekend.

There weren’t any significant traffic issues as festival attendees left Stagecoach. Officers said traffic was heavy on I-10 throughout Monday but continued to flow at a normal pace, partly due to the fact that concert campers started leaving Sunday night and others left continually throughout the day Monday.

Traffic during the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival led to a major traffic jam on I-10, but that was the only congestion commuters had to deal with throughout the festivals.
