Contest held for students to design Villagefest banners

Villagefest organizers are inviting children of all ages to submit designs for banners that will be displayed on light posts in Downtown Palm Springs during late spring and summer.

Villagfest Commissioner Joy Brown Meredith said the theme of the contest is, ‘What makes you happy?’.

Banner entries should be created on 4″x 11″ paper (you can get this size by cutting a regular sheet of paper in half). Designs must be vertical to fit the banner posts. Meredith said students can use any method – paint, crayons, colored pencils, collage, etc.

Please be sure your banner design submission includes the student’s name, school and grade.
