Dusty winds rip through Palm Springs swap meet

Art work, tents and cars were damaged after strong dusty winds ripped through a Palm Springs swap meet Sunday.

Our viewers told us the dust storm happened in downtown Palm Springs and swept through the market near Indian Canyon Drive around 3 p.m.

Our viewer Dan Adams sent us video showing the damage caused by the winds.

Locals said they believe it was a dust devil, but nothing has been confirmed by National Weather Service.

The strongest wind gusts got up 26 miles per hour in the desert Sunday.
