Louis Vuitton pulls out all the stops for guests, the valley

“They were looking for a spot. Last year in Monaco, couple of places considered but our understanding is they love palm Springs,” Mary Jo Ginther of the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism said.

Louis Vuitton chose to stage it’s 2016 Resort Collection Runway Show at the Bob Hope house, bringing with it almost 600 guests, celebrities and international media, such as Mindy Teh with Marie Claire Malaysia.

From the start, she’s been wowed.

“All the luxury touches Vuitton is famous for,” Teh said.

Invitations arrived in Louis Vuitton envelopes, room keys in Vuitton cases, and black Suburbans took her all around town.

However, the point of the whole trip – Vuitton’s first west coast fashion show, their cruise line revelation, which Teh thinks has something to do with Palm Springs.

“I like to think it has something to do about the line so I am excited for them to unveil it,” she said.

#LVPalmSprings and #LVCruise is trending on social media, but so is the obvious love for the desert, meaning the affects the luxury label is having on the desert are long-lasting, surely bringing many of these guests back.

“I love the juxtaposition of the green against the mountain,” Teh said.

The fashion show streamed live on louisvuitton.com Wednesday night.
