Surveillance photos released after man robs Wells Fargo
Palm Springs police confirm the Wells Fargo Bank on the 5200 Block of Ramon Road near Gene Autry Trail was robbed Tuesday evening.
According to police, they got the call just before 5:30 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect entered the bank and handed a note to a teller. The bank teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect.
The suspect fled the bank and ran to a older model blue Toyota Tundra. The pickup truck was last seen traveling northbound on Gene Autry Trail and then east on Vista Chino.
Officers released surveillance photos of the bank robber on Thursday afternoon. They said there were no weapons seen and nobody was injured during the robbery.
Police said the suspect is described as a white man, about 5’8 tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue ball cap and a long-sleeve grey shirt.
The bank was closed until Wednesday morning.
