California man gets wife winning Powerball ticket for Mother’s Day

An Oxnard man made other mothers jealous when he gave his wife a winning Powerball ticket for Mother’s Day.

The Ventura County Star reports that Deborah Bumblis received a ticket worth $457,073 inside a card for the holiday after returning from a trip to Las Vegas.

Lottery officials say the husband purchased the ticket at a 7-Eleven. One line on it matched five numbers, only missing the Powerball number.

The couple plans to use the winnings to pay off some debt and do home improvement.
