Power back on to more than 3,000 customers
Power was restored to more than 3,000 Imperial Irrigation District customers around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night after an outage that started at 7:39 p.m..
The customers impacted were in Thousand Palms, near Interstate 10 between Bob Hope Drive on the West and Vista Del Oro on the East.
That included a number of businesses near Ramon Road and Varner Road.
Several fast food restaurants were forced to close during the outage.
No word on what caused the outage.
News Channel 3/CBS Local 2 was also in the outage area and operated on back-up power.
