Deputies investigate after deadly shooting in Coachella

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the person who shot and killed a man at a Coachella apartment complex on Sunday night.

The shooting happened around 11:10 p.m. at the Desert Palms Apartments, located in the 50000 block of Suncrest Street, near Avenue 51. Deputies were called after witnesses reported hearing gunfire in the area.

The victim died at the scene. Authorities said he was found lying in a parking lot at the apartment complex.

The Central Homicide Unit is investigating the deadly shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time at the request of law enforcement. No suspects have been identified yet.
