Modernist architect Donald Wexler dies at 89

The iconic valley architect Donald Wexler has passed away at 89 years old.

The “man of steel” was known for his work on valley homes, hotels and the unique Palm Springs International Airport design.

The Palm Springs Art Museum’s Architecture Design Center representatives said they were notified of his passing.

Wexler was one of the biggest contributors to the aesthetic appeal of Palm Springs’ mid-century architecture.

He was 89.
