Fireworks show planned for DHS on July 5th

The city of Desert Hot Springs is planning an Independence Day after-party with a fireworks show and concert on Sunday, July 5.

The celebration takes place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 64949 Mission Lakes Blvd., at the corner of Little Morongo Road and Mission Lakes Blvd.

According to City Councilman Russell Betts, the show begins with live Rock and Roll by the Gin Piston band. Pyrospectaculars will put on a 15 minute full aerial fireworks show as soon as it’s dark and the party and live music continues after the fireworks.

Betts said food trucks and other food vendors will be at the event as well.

This year’s charitable beneficiary is the volunteer Desert Hot Springs Citizens on Patrol and Youth Police Explorers who will be presented checks during an intermission live show. The event is made possible by businesses and private sponsors working with the Desert Hot Springs Community and Cultural Affairs Commission.

The organizing committee would like to acknowledge the following sponsors for their contributions to make this event possible.
