Fire still under investigation

The Lake Fire is now 98% contained with 375 fire personnel still assigned to the fire to deal with any hot spots that remain.

The fire started back on June 17th and has burned 31,3159 acres in the San Bernardino Mountains.

The cost of fighting the fire was $39.9 million as of Sunday morning.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Campgrounds that were closed along Highway 38 are scheduled to re-open on Thursday, July 9th.
