Power defeat Riptide 8-2, force deciding Game 3 for SCCBL title

The five-peat isn’t dead just yet.

A day after the Palm Springs Power lost Game 1 of the SoCal Collegiate Baseball League championship series to the Orange County Riptide, the team rebounded for an 8-2 win in Game 2.

Luke Barker pitched a complete game for the Power with nine strikeouts and only allowed two runs.

The offense scored five runs in the first four innings after being limited to only one run in the game before in a 6-1 loss.

The championship series is a best-of-three. Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday night at 7:05 p.m. at Palm Springs Stadium.
