Living Desert wins award through TripAdvisor
The Living Desert recently received TripAdvisor’s 2015 Travelers’ Choice Award for Amusement Parks, Water Parks, Zoos and Aquariums.
According to officials with the travel website this is their highest accolade which is only presented to the top one perfect of TripAdvisor properties based on guest reviews and opinions.
“The Living Desert is extremely proud to be once again honored by TripAdvisor,” said Allen Monroe, President/CEO of The Living Desert. “Knowing that this award is based on feedback from our guests makes it especially gratifying, and we’ll continue to make it a one-of-a-kind experience for them.”
The Living Desert came in at number 25 in the list of Top 25 Zoos in the United States, according to TripAdvisor’s results. The San Diego Zoo came in at number one in both the United States and the World for the 2015 Travelers Choice Awards.
Traveler’s Choice Award winners are selected based on reviews in categories such as hotels, destinations, restaurants and attractions.
In 2014, The Living Desert earned a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. The Living Desert currently has nearly 1,200 reviews with an average rating of four and a half stars. The website also lists The Living Desert as the top thing to do in Palm Desert.
The Living Desert is open daily from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the last admission at 1 p.m. through September 30.
