Desert Hot Springs to increase patrols through Labor Day
Desert Hot Springs Police will begin an 18-day maximum D.U.I. enforcement period starting Friday.
The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown will end after the Labor Day Weekend on September 7th.
Police will increase the number of officers on the streets, have saturation patrols in some areas and hold a sobriety checkpoint to be held at some point next weekend.
Law enforcement agencies across Riverside County will also be stepping up activity as part of the crackdown.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is planning checkpoints this weekend in La Quinta and next weekend in Palm Desert.
