Power resoration expected Tuesday afternoon in Palm Desert

Officials with Southern California Edison estimate that all customers in Palm Desert should have power restored by 5:30 p.m. Tuesday after equipment problems caused a power outage around 4 a.m.

The outage affected 1,300 residents on Cook Street near Palm Desert High School, according to SCE’s website. Only 103 customers were still experiencing problems as of Tuesday afternoon.

SCE crews were working throughout the day to restore power to the area.
