JetBlue set to offer service to Palm Springs this winter

Palm Springs International Airport will soon be serviced by 10 airlines.

JetBlue Airways announced Monday it would begin service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Palm Springs International Airport this winter.

“Palm Springs’ re-emergence as a destination and the area’s nationally recognized events like Coachella,” said Dave Clark, vice president of network planning at JetBlue, “make it the perfect addition to our transcontinental route map.”

JetBlue’s seasonal non-stop service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Palm Springs International begins January 14, 2016.

The new flights will operate five times per week, Thursdays through Mondays, until May 1, 2016.

“With direct service to Palm Springs five days a week, winter-weary East Coasters can escape to this desert getaway with 350 days of sunshine easier than ever before,” said Clark.

Palm Springs International Airport offers nonstop service from 18 cities that connect to more than 500 global destinations.
