Celebrity Chef Kerry Simon dies
“Iron Chef” competitor and restaurateur Kerry Simon has passed away.
The celebrity chef helped open restaurants around the world, including his restaurant in Palm Springs, “The Simon Kitchen and Bar” at the Hard Rock Hotel.
The Palm Springs Hard Rock offered their condolences on their Facebook page, “Today we grieve the loss of one of our own. RIP to an excellent chef, Chef Kerry Simon.”
Simon was credited with laying the groundwork for the dynamic culinary landscape of Las Vegas with his modern approach to traditional comfort food.
He died on Friday after battling multiple system atrophy.
Simon was 60-years-old.
