Police search for suspects after 19-year-old man shot to death
Indio police are investigating after a 19-year-old Hispanic man was shot and killed Tuesday night.
The victim was found dead in the 83300 block of Gemini Street near Calhoun Avenue and Highway 111 shortly after 9:00 p.m.
The body was found in the area of the Summerfield Apartments. According to witnesses at the scene, the man was shot in the head, but police haven’t confirmed that to us yet.
Detectives with the Indio Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Street Crimes Unit are actively following up on leads in search of the suspects, according to a release from Indio Police Commander Henk Peeters.

This is the third homicide in Indio this year and the 24th homicide in the Coachella Valley/Banning Pass area.
