Indio man killed in overnight crash
An Indio man was killed in an overnight car crash.
Just before midnight Friday, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reports 24-year-old George Salcido was in a car that crashed into another car at the intersection of Avenue 48 East of Jackson Street.
Other passengers and the driver inside the car were able to get out before the car caught fire.
Salcido died at the scene and three others were transported to a local hospital with moderate to major injuries.
Still no word on what caused the accident.
