All lanes of westbound I-10 reopen at Haugen-Lehmann after big rig overturns

All lanes of westbound I-10 have reopened near the Haugen Lehmann Way exit after a big rig overturned around midnight. A Hazardous materials team was called in to investigate spilled chemicals.

Morning commuters were slowed to a crawl for three miles in the westbound lanes from just west of Highway 62 to the crash site.

Three westbound freeway lanes were reopened at 8:10 a.m. allowing traffic to move again and the fourth lane reopened at about 9 a.m.

California Highway Patrol first reported the wreck around midnight. One of the truck’s two trailers was detached, laying sideways.

CHP closed three westbound lanes and issued a Sig Alert at approximately 12:15 a.m. A Hazmat team was called in to inspect the overturned trailer.

No other vehicles were involved and nobody was injured.
