Man released from hospital after being shot twice in Indio

A man was released from the hospital a day after being shot twice in the upper torso near an Indio park.

The shots rang out around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Primrose Avenue and Daisy Street, near Dr. Carreon Park. Indio police said the victim was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police have not said if any arrests have been made in this case. However, anyone with information is urged to call the Indio Police Department at (760) 391-4057.
