Suspect search in Thousand Palms called off

Police have called off the search for suspects in Thousand Palms tonight after stopping cars on the Bob Hope overpass and circling the area with a helicopter. It all started around 9:25 p.m. tonight when officers got a call that someone was assaulted with a deadly weapon on the 72-thousand block of Woburn Court.

Deputies then set up a road block on Bob Hope and checked several businesses in the area where a fight took place. Officers interviewed several people but say all parties refused to cooperate. Around 10:30 p.m. they called off the search and re-opened all roads.
