Four juveniles arrested in Desert Hot Springs burglaries

Four juveniles were arrested after police said they broke into two homes within an hour Sunday.

Around 9 a.m. police responded to a house on Verbena Drive because of a residential burglary alarm. When they arrived they found a window in the back smashed open possibly by a rock and a side door left open.

After searching the inside they determined the home had been ransacked, but the total loss could not be determined because no one was home.

Less than an hour later, police got a call about a burglary in progress near Ambrosio Drive. The caller told police that four teens were leaving the location.

After receiving a few tips from neighbors, police found where the suspects ran to and located the teens and the stolen property.

The four juveniles were arrested and the stolen property was returned to the owners.
