Palm tree fire spreads to Palm Desert home

An attic in a Palm Desert home caught fire after flames spread to the home from two nearby burning palm trees Tuesday night. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters got called to the scene around 8:50 p.m. The Incident Commander requested representatives from Southern California Edison and The Gas Company to respond as well. No injuries to report. Reports show $50,000 in losses.
