Two men wounded in Indio shooting

Indio police confirm two men were wounded in a shooting Monday night on Jackson Street near the DMV office.

One of the men was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center.

The other man was taken to JFK Memorial.

The injuries for both men were considered non-life threatening.

Northbound Jackson Street was closed as of 10:30 p.m. Monday between Dillon Avenue and Emerald Avenue.

Detectives at the crime scene were looking at the parking lot of Jackson Liquor Store.

There was no initial word from police on suspects or any suspect descriptions.
