High wind warning issued for parts of Coachella Valley
From Chief Meteorologist Patrick Evans:
Winds have been clocked at 54mph at the Palm Springs airport, and 64mph on Edom Hill north of Cathedral City.
A high wind warning that includes Desert Hot Springs and North Palm Springs will last until 10pm as will a wind advisory which covers the rest of the entire Valley. Gusts up to 55mph are possible.
Brief showers, and much colder air will move in with this storm front.
It will continue to be gusty overnight, with lighter winds and cool conditions for both Saturday and Sunday.
