Victim says gunman flashed headlights before shooting

Police are looking for a gunman who opened fire on a car in Coachella, riddling the car with bullets but missing the driver and passenger.

The shooting happened Wednesday night near the intersection of Avenue 50 and Frederick Street.

Police say the driver of a car flashed his headlights and then pulled up alongside the victim’s car and opened fire. The victim was able to speed away and he and his passenger both escaped without any injuries.

The gunman’s car was described as a silver, newer model Nissan or similar type of sedan.
