10 arrested in Palm Springs compliance sweep

Multiple agencies conducted 42 probation/parole compliance checks in Palm Springs on Tuesday, leading to the arrest of 10 people.

According to Lieutenant Mike Kovaleff with the Palm Springs Police Department, narcotics, drug paraphernalia and additional contraband were seized during the operation.

Some of the suspects were only arrested for misdemeanor violations, but others are facing several felony charges.

The following 10 suspects were arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning:

Isaac McAfee, 25, Palm Springs. Felony possession of methamphetamine for sale, felony child abuse, felony possession of body armor by prohibited person, and violating post release supervision.
Matthew Beaupre, 30, Palm Springs. Misdemeanor charges of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
Philip Henke, 52, Palm Springs. Felony for bringing drugs into jail, misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
Rashaan Alexander, 20, Palm Springs. Felony warrant for domestic violence and misdemeanor warrant for violating restraining order.
Shamika Bennett, 23, Palm Springs. Felony warrant for Check Fraud.
Frances Jurado, 57, Palm Springs. Misdemeanor warrant for DUI.
Lorenzo Hernandez, 36, Palm Springs. Misdemeanor warrant for possession of narcotics.
Dennis Bannon, 45, Palm Springs. Misdemeanor warrant for possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor warrant for possession of stolen property.
Manual Rivera, 45, Blythe. Misdemeanor warrant for indecent exposure.
Tasha McElroy, 32, Palm Springs. Misdemeanor charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.

Three Riverside County Post-Release Accountability Teams, the Palm Springs Police Department, the Coachella Valley Violent Criminal Gang Task Force, the California Highway Patrol, and the Riverside County Probation Department were all involved in the operation.
