Fire alarm and sprinklers activated for second night at Palm Springs Hotel
It was another long night for guests at a the Extended Stay Hotel in Palm Springs where fire alarms and sprinklers were activated for a second night in a row Wednesday.
Police said there was no fire, but the hotel’s fire alarm sounded at around 1:30a.m.
That triggered a fire suppression sprinkler system and caused more water damage to the building on Tahquitz Canyon Way and Sunrise.
A KESQ News Channel 3 viewer, sent us some photos showing water on a hotel room floor and coming through the ceiling.
Authorities say they made no arrests, but the fire’s cause is under investigation.
Firefighters were called to the same hotel Monday night.
A fire alarm and sprinkler activation caused flooding in more than a dozen rooms.
Firefighters say there may have been a flash-fire in a room that night.
They also found drug paraphernalia.
