Man killed in Mecca crash identified
One person was killed and two others injured Friday in a vehicle crash in Mecca.
The crash was reported at 6:30 p.m. on state Route 111 south of Johnson Street, according to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.
50-year-old Roberto Rodriguez of Mecca was pronounced dead at the scene and two others, with injuries described as minor to moderate, were evaluated by paramedics, Hagemann said, but it was unclear if either was taken to a hospital.
At least one victim was cut from the wreckage, Hagemann said.
