Man arrested for burglary at Desert Hot Springs home

A 21-year-old man was arrested Sunday, suspected of breaking in and trying to steal from a Desert Hot Springs home.

Police responded to the 68000 block of Calle Azteca for a report of a suspicious person trying to open windows at the home.

Once officers arrived on scene, they surrounded the house. Police said when the suspect exited the back of the house with a bag full of stolen property they got him.

Rougley was arrested and booked into the Banning Jail for burglary, possession of stolen property and a felony parole warrant.

The stolen items were returned to the home owner.
