Traffic stop leads to narcotics arrest

Desert Hot Springs Police tried to do a traffic stop early Wednesday morning around 12:30 on a gray 1999 Cadillac in the area of West Drive and 6th Street. The car didn’t stop and a brief chase ensued.

It ended when the car had some sort of mechanical failure and the driver, 43 year old Roland Roe, was taken into custody.

Roe had 99 grams of suspected methamphetamine on him. He’s now in jail on multiple charges:possession of meth for sales, transportation of meth, and felony evading.
