Driver hits wall on Gene Autry Trail

Palm Springs Police and emergency crews were called to the corner of Gene Autry Trail and Eagle Way, just North of Highway 111, just before 3:30pm of a report that several cars collided says Palm Springs Police.

After further investigation, only one car actually crashed, says Sgt. Abshire of the Palm Springs Police Department. The driver swerved into a wall at the intersection. There were no serious injuries, just one person had a complaint of pain.

Northbound traffic on Gene Autry Trail was shut down for about 30 minutes while crews worked to remove the wreckage from the roadway. The cause is still under investigation.
