Slow speed chase ends with DUI arrest

Just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night Sheriff’s deputies and Indio police were involved in a slow speed chase through the streets of Indio.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy attempted to pull over a man driving a truck erratically near Monroe and Dr. Carreon Blvd.

The driver would not pull over and a slow speed chase ensued. Indio police were called upon to help with road blocks while RSO set up spike strips and were able to disable the vehicle at Ave 42 and Monroe.

The driver was taken into custody for DUI.
