Man in custody after police chase in Cathedral City
A Cathedral City man is in jail accused of leading police on a high speed chase and crashing a stolen car.
Police noticed a car speeding through a neighborhood in Cathedral City around 2:30 p.m. Monday. They attempted to stop 25-year old Irving Enriquez.
The chase reached speeds of 75 miles per hour when police say Enriquez slammed into a center divider on Dinah Shore Drive. Enriquez wasn’t injured and was arrested on scene.
He was already on probation for possession of a firearm and car theft and was booked into the county jail in Indio.
