Power outages impact La Quinta residents, mountain area near Anza

The stormy conditions caused a power outage in La Quinta Sunday. Power knocked out for more than 1,000 Imperial Irrigation District customers around 4:30 p.m.

IID said crews worked immediately and power was fully restored about an hour later.

There was also a power outage affecting some of our mountain communities.

Anza Electric Cooperative experienced a system wide power outage around 2:30 p.m. The company said Southern California Edison reported a pole fire caused the outage in Anza, Garner Valley and Pinyon Pines.

We were told power was out in Hemet as well.

Power was restored around 6 p.m.
