Sec. of State will join President for Summit at Sunnylands

Still no exact travel plans for President Obama’s planned visit to Sunnylands next week, but the U.S. State Department confirms that Sec. of State John Kerry will be in the Desert February 15-16 to attend the US-ASEAN Summit at Sunnylands.

Kerry’s travel plans begin first in Munich, Germany, from February 10-14 to participate in the 52nd Munich Security Conference. Then the Secretary of State travels to Albania, on February 14 to meet with senior government leaders to discuss Albania’s further Euro-Atlantic integration and strong bilateral cooperation with the United States.

The Secretary will then travel to Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, to join President Obama at the U.S.-ASEAN Summit on February 15-16. This summit will further strengthen U.S.-ASEAN cooperation within the framework of our new strategic partnership and our common vision of a peaceful and prosperous Asia-Pacific region.

We are still waiting on specific travel plans for President Obama. Check back later for more details as we expect the White House to begin releasing the President’s travel plans soon.
