Deputies investigate after victim robbed near casino
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has ended its search for a suspect after someone was robbed near Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies said they responded to the 84200 block of Indio Springs Drive at about 3:40 p.m. We don’t know if a weapon was used in the robbery at this time.
Authorities said the victim wasn’t injured during the robbery.
Deputies were searching for the suspect near Avenue 48 and the 86 Expressway for about an hour on Tuesday. News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 arrived to find a heavy police presence.
They couldn’t locate the suspect so they ended the search.
Authorities haven’t released any information regarding the suspect’s description at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
