Case of the Zika virus confirmed in NorCal

Northern California is the latest area to confirm a case of the Zika virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the unidentified patient has a mild case of Zika. Yolo County officials say they are not concerned about Zika spreading because this person got infected while traveling outside of the United States. More than a dozen states and the District of Columbia have confirmed Zika cases all were contracted outside of the U.S. Zika is linked to a birth defect that causes babies to be born with abnormally small heads.
